Outwards Festival, a new addition to the UK festival schedule, hosts its debut edition in Manchester on 2 May, with what the 909originals team reckons is one of the strongest lineups of the summer.
Performances on the day will include Orbital, Octave One, Paranoid London, The Orb, A Certain Ratio, Tom Middleton, The Grid and Black Grape.
DJs set to appear include LTJ Bukem, DJ Pierre, Josey Rebelle, Midland, Pearson Sound, OK Williams and Suze Ijó, among others – not to mention a back-to-back set from Detroit legends Moodymann and Carl Craig.
The day-into-night festival is set across five connected outdoor spaces in Ardwick, in Manchester City Centre, with the organisers positioning the event as ‘exploring the past, present and future of electronic music culture’.
