Robert Hood, Planetary Assault Systems and others line up to remix Sven Väth’s ‘Catharsis’

Roman Flügel, Benjamin Damage, Robert Hood, Planetary Assault Systems and Mano Le Tough are among the artists to contribute to a new remix album of Sven Väth‘s recent long player, Catharsis.

Catharsis Remixes, set to be released on Cocoon on 11 August, features an array of remixes with the dancefloor in mind, from Roman Flügel’s acidic rework of What I Used To Play to Krystal Klear’s epic take on Feiern.

The release will be packaged in 3×12″ gatefold vinyl, with turquoise foil embossing, and is available to pre-order here. It will also be released digitally.

Produced alongside Gregor Tresher, Catharsis was released in February 2022, and was Sven Väth’s first solo album for close to 20 years, as well as being the 50th release on the Cocoon label.

“My imagination for this record was fueled by the many cultural experiences and encounters I have had in my life,” Väth said at the time of its release. “They gave me the strength to find a way, the way to myself.”
