Vince Watson announces details of new remix album, ‘DnA [re]Sequenced’

Vince Watson
has announced plans to release a forthcoming remix album, DnA [re] Sequenced, which will see the producer revisit his 2019 album, DnA, with remixes from Carl Craig, Claude Young, John Beltran, Shawn Rudiman, Steve Rachmad and others.

The album is set to be released on Watson’s own label, Everysoul Audio, in November, landing on Bandcamp on 12 November ahead of a general release a week later. More information can be found here.

Following the success of DnA, Watson had the vision of having some of the tracks being remixed by ‘Detroit-flavoured’ artists hailing from the three places that have musically meant the most to him: Scotland, Amsterdam and Detroit.

The result is DnA [re] Sequenced, which caps off a busy year for Watson, following releases on Get Physical, Tronic, SushiTech, All Day I Dream and Everysoul Audio.

The album has been preceded by the launch of a sampler, which features three tracks – check them out below.

Following the release ofDnA [re] Sequenced, Watson also plans to unveil a further series of remixes next year, as well as a raft of new material.

Over a 25-year career in electronic music, Watson has released more than 200 EPs, as well as 12 albums, and worked alongside the likes of Laurent Garnier, Joe Claussell, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Carl Craig, Osunlade, Steve Bug and Josh Wink.

He was also recently commissioned by the New York Times investigative journalist Ian Urbina to create music for his Outlaw Oceans book project, which is now in production for Netflix as a documentary series.

Alongside his touring schedule and studio commitments, he is also a Senior Degree Lecturer for AEMA, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam ’s new electronic music school, where he teaches DJing, production and remixing.
