Belgian artist Amelie Lens has marked her tenth anniversary as a producer with the release of a new single, Falling Into Acid Dreams.
The single, which was released on 27 February on her EXHALE label, comes a decade on from her debut EP, also titled Exhale, which was released on Lyase Recordings. Over the past decade, Lens has evolved EXHALE from a level into an event series and community platform, with festival takeovers at Awakenings ADE, Creamfields and Tomorrowland, as well as headline nights at fabric, Drumsheds London, RSO Berlin and Shelter Amsterdam.
The new single, Falling Into Acid Dreams, boasts a ‘tightly wound 303 line that gradually intensifies, [before] the track locks into a rolling, hypnotic groove’, according to a press release.
“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years of releasing music,” Lens said of the new single. “Ten years of learning, falling, rising, believing and dreaming with you guys on the dance floor. I hope you feel the energy you’ve given me through all these years when you listen to Falling into Acid Dreams. Thank you for dancing with me all this time.”
Lens’ back catalogue includes releases such as Stay With Me, Higher, Drift, Breathe, and collaborations including the One Mind EP with Charlotte de Witte. EXHALE Records was founded to provide a platform for emerging producers, supporting the rise of artists such as Novah, Airod, Trym, Sara Landry, Klangkuenstler, and Nico Moreno over the years.
