Dublin production duo Long Island Sound – aka Rob Roche and Tim Nolan – have released a new album, Hydra, on Seb Wildblood’s All My Thoughts imprint.
Hydra, which was released on 6 November, encapsulates the warm, emotive sound that the pair have honed over the past ten years, and was built around their impressive live show.
Tracks on the new album include As One, Anchor, Full Effect, Terra Nova, Adrenaline, Warsaw, Timelapse, Searching, Curved Air, and Mira, which together explore ‘sophisticated sound design and esoteric themes […] from start to finish’, according to a press release.
‘Long Island Sound draws inspiration from the sounds and rhythms of everyday life,’ the press release added. ‘Nolan and Roche give colour to the deeper corners of the imagination, illuminating once-everyday feelings in visceral hues. The release unfurls the introspective realm with swathes of aqueous sound design and defined thoughtful melodies.’
Long Island Sound – Hydra is out now on All My Thoughts and can be downloaded/streamed here.
