To support the series, the label, working with Stinson’s family, have commissioned Detroit-based contemporary artist Matthew Angelo Harrison to re-conceptualise the covers of Tresor’s Drexciya-related catalogue.
The first release as part of the series is the seminal, sub-aquatic Neptune’s Lair, originally released in 1999, one of the most celebrated techno albums of the late 90s, which was re-released on 2 September.
In October, the series continues with the re-release of Hydro Doorways, on 7 October, while November sees the release of Harnessed The Storm and Digital Tsunami. February 2023 sees Transllusion get re-released, with the series completed with Shifted Phases – The Cosmic Memoirs Of The Late Great Rupert J. Rosinthrope at the end of March.
As Tresor put it on its Bandcamp page, ‘These records, individually and as a catalogue, represent some of the most crucial moments in the Tresor label history, with the sound and mythic world of Drexciya undoubtedly inspiring generations.’
