Get ready for an Italo Disco revival…

It was only a matter of time before Italo Disco made a comeback, and a forthcoming documentary on this classic 1980s dance genre is likely to be the spark that causes it…

As Electronic Beats reported earlier this month, Italo Disco Legacy, directed by Pietro Anton, is due to be released soon, featuring interviews with legendary Italo advocates Alden Tyrell, I-F, and arguably the grandaddy of them all, Alexander Robotnick.

What’s more, the documentary’s release will be accompanied by the release of a double vinyl on Private Records, likely to be the must have Christmas present for any moustachioed disco aficionado.

More details are available on the movie’s official Facebook page. In the meantime, here’s one of the all-time Italo classics: Alexander Robotnick’s  Problèmes d’Amour (having seen it performed live by the man himself on a number of occasions, it hasn’t lost its allure)…
