Disco pioneer Cerrone has teamed up with Christine and the Queens on a new single, Catching Feelings, which is the first release from an upcoming 4-track collaborative EP.

Backed by a self-directed music video by Christine and the Queens, the single follows on from the performance by the duo at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where Christine and the Queens joined Cerrone for a reimagining of his track Supernature beneath the Arc de Triomphe.

This led to the pair teaming up in the studio, which in turn birthed Catching Feelings, a track described as ‘a luminous, organic pop-disco track filled with raw, modern emotion’.

As a press release for the track puts it, Catching Feelings ‘expresses a form of intimacy that is free, joyful, and fully embraced. Disco becomes a platform for contemporary expression, fluid and attuned to the realities of desire and emancipation. It’s where influences don’t just blend—they evolve.’

Over the years, Cerrone’s music has been sampled by the likes of LL Cool J , Beastie Boys, Nas and Jamie xx, while in recent years he has collaborated with artists such as Purple Disco Machine, Dimitri From Paris, Sofi Tukker, The Reflex, Kenny Dope, and Disclosure.
