Morcheeba have announced details of a forthcoming remix project, Remix The Chaos Vol. 1, which sees the duo’s recent Escape the Chaos album reworked by a series of contemporary producers.
Remix The Chaos Vol. 1 is set for release on 17 April, followed by a limited-edition vinyl release for Record Store Day the following day (18 April).
A new single, a remix of We Live and Die by Chilean producer Paula Tape, has just been released and can be downloaded/streamed here. It follows on from a Trance Wax remix of Elephant Clouds, released at the start of January, which was the first single from the project.
The Remix The Chaos project will run across three separate releases, and will be unveiled over the course of 2026.
Commenting on the remix project and new single, Morcheeba – aka Skye Edwards and Ross Godfrey – said, “Getting remixes done is the best part of making a record because we get to hear our music re-imagined in all sorts of magnificent ways by a whole bunch of talented DJ’s and producers.
“Having Paula Tape remix We Live and Die is especially excellent as she is such a strong force in the current dance music scene. The mix she did is heavy but keeps the subtlety of the song, bringing it to a whole new audience.”
