Perspectives Digital is marking its 15th anniversary this year with the launch of a new compilation curated by label founder Darin Epsilon.
The compilation, 15 Years of Perspectives, features 11 artists including Amanda Baron (US), ARGO (South Korea), Darin Epsilon (USA/Germany), Fuscarini (Brazil), Nihil Young (Italy), NILU (Denmark), RIKO & GUGGA (Brazil), SHAZZE (UK), and Who Else (Argentina), a ‘testament to the label’s international scope and finely tuned ear for exceptional talent’, as a press release put it.
Perspectives Digital was founded in 2010 and has largely focused on melodic house and techno, earning support from the likes of Adriatique, Agents of Time, Argy, David Guetta, Fideles, Innellea, Joris Voorn, Kevin De Vries, Korolova, Miss Monique, Nora En Pure, Pete Tong, Solomun, Tale of Us, and Vintage Culture.
To mark the anniversary, the label held an anniversary party at Ritter Butzke in Berlin on 7 November, which featured performances by Darin Epsilon, GEMINIS, Min the Universe, Øostil, Rafa Silva, and Unseen.
Elsewhere, Min the Universe has joined Perspectives Digital as a new label partner, to work alongside founder Darin Epsilon (pictured) and manager Rafa Silva.
“Perspectives has always been about building connections through sound,” Epsilon commented. “It’s incredible to look back and see how far we’ve come; from our very first release in 2010 to this 15-year milestone. The 15 Years of Perspectives compilation is a tribute to that journey, showcasing the incredible artists who’ve helped shape our story.
“We’re also thrilled to bring the celebration to life with our anniversary event at Ritter Butzke in Berlin, and to welcome Min the Universe, the New York–based producer, as an official label partner as we move into an exciting new chapter for Perspectives Digital.”
In other news, Perspectives Digital has launched a remix contest for Epsilon’s track Janissaries, in partnership with LabelRadar and Magnetic Magazine. Producers can access the track stems and submit their work through the designated contest page, with the winning entry receiving a release on the label.
