Native Instruments has announced the launch of a new two-channel DJ controller, Traktor MX2, which the company says is built for DJs at every stage of performance level.

The controller, ‘which combines a streamlined layout with powerful performance tools and a built-in audio interface’ (which delivers high-fidelity audio at 24-bit/96kHz), comes with a full version of Traktor Pro 4 software and offers new customers a two-month trial of Beatport Streaming.

Among the features of the MX2 is a simplified Mixer FX, which enables DJs to create drops, buildups, and transitions with a single dial, Deck FX which incorporates more than 40 different effects, and 16 RGB performance pads that can be used as hotcues (for jumping to track moments), flux loops (for stuttered loops), a pattern player (as a step sequencer for percussion programming), and stems (to isolate vocals, drums, bass, and instruments for live remixing).

Elsewhere, an illuminated bottom shell indicates when tracks are running out or looping, while pad colours are customisable. The MX2’s two touch-sensitive jog wheels can be used for precise nudging, scratching, and scrolling in both turntable and jog modes.

Traktor MX2 is priced at €399, or $449 in the US and £349 in the UK. Learn more at www.native-instruments.com.
