Also known as one-half of DJ duo The Menendez Brothers – alongside his twin brother Eniz – Deniz ‘Dutty’ Menendez has carved a reputation for his eclectic, genre-spanning sets, and for pioneering party brands such as So Fresh So Clean, Feelings, London Bound and Casa de Salsa.
A member of the Defected Records family, Menendez has also performed at various global venues, Glastonbury, Ushuaïa, Pacha, Bohemia, Toejam Backlot to name a few, and also holds the honour of being one of the youngest-ever head bookers at Ministry of Sound.
Ahead of his upcoming show at The Penthouse Dubai on 14 June (more details are available here) for this week’s #MyRecordBag, Deniz Menendez shares his top power plays for summer 2025, including peak-time bangers, underground gems, and crowd-lifting vocal house.
Daisybelle – Eyes Wide Shut (DB’s Sweaty Club Mix)
“I am a huge fan of everything Daisybelle is up to currently, one of my top artists to watch for the year. This track summarises the energy she brings, with remixes from TSHA, CC Disco, and her own Sweaty Mix. Huge track for the summer.”
Acid Harry – Casa de Samba
“Acid Harry’s tracks haven’t left my record bag since we first met. With tracks now signed to Cloonee’s Hellbent and Mele’s Club Bad, you can tell that other artists are taking note. Nothing but pumpers from Acid Harry, this being one of many tracks at this level.”
Ollie Red – Disco Tech
“Huge track from Ollie Red, Moxy Musik picking this one up. Really gets things going in a set, got one of the best reactions from my recent Pacha Ibiza set. The whole EP is great but this is my favourite track.”
Borai & Denham Audio – Make Me (Franky Rizardo Edit)
“This remix of an old dance track was then given another twist by Franky Rizardo, classic vocals with a huge bassline. A recipe for success. Handle with care.”
Hilit Kolet – POV Siren
“Hilit is frankly on fire with her new releases. POV Siren is my favourite and always gets a huge reaction from the crowd. Keep them coming my friend.”
Ozzie Guven – Move Yo Body (Original Mix)
“I have been following Ozzie Guven’s growth for some years now, what a journey. Move Yo Body has been engaging the crowd in lots of my sets and really gets the people going.”
Lloyd Nwagboso, Kaiser Waldon – See Me
“I gave this track its first playout at Miami Music Week, since then it’s been supported by Marco Carolo and Franky Rizardo. Big track that always lights up the dancefloor. Expect a lot from Lloyd and Kaiser.”
Lexa Hill – Crash
“A great track from Lexa Hill and as you can tell by the YouTube views, the track is still an unearthed diamond. Huge crowd reaction from this and will be in a lot of DJ bags over the summer.”
Basso (UK) – OSSAB (Original Mix)
“Although this track is from the summer last year, it will stay in my bag for this summer. Basso is a great lad with a real talent for making great music, one to watch for sure.”
Joe Rolét – Into Systems Vox
“Finishing up with Joe Rolét, who takes us to another planet with this track. Huge track from a DJ/producer who just dropped their new album, can’t get enough of it.”
