Patrick Topping has announced details of a new EP, 4 For The Floor, which is being released in two parts; the first on 29 November and the second on 13 December.
It’s the Geordie producer’s first EP release since 2021’s Planet Session, and is being released on his label, Trick.
“After a few years of singles, it feels good to release an EP again,” Topping said of the new release. “Four different styles of dance floor tracks, each with a different unreal vocalist. I’m so excited to show this range of sounds, all within one release.
“I think it’s a good representation of how I DJ at the moment, going from vocal tech house to upbeat 80s-influenced synth melodies, to dark melodic tech house to the fastest track I’ve put out yet at 145 BPM, touching on the hard techno I like to dip into.”
The first instalment features the tracks Bonfire, featuring Dark Dahlia, and Vogue, featuring Franky. Part two sees Topping team up with Grammy-winning singer Jinadu on The Limit, as well as the full-throttle The Dance Floor Is Lit, featuring vocals from Polish-Canadian singer PIOTR.
The release wraps up a busy year for Topping, which has seen the launch of Trick Fest, his residency at Hï Ibiza, and a number of singles. Along the way, he’s provided a platform for breakthrough talents such as Ben Hemsley, Hannah Laing, and Schak, to name a few.
