Poker Flat Recordings, which marks its 25th anniversary this year, has announced the first in a new series dedicated to emerging artists, Under One Roof.
Under One Roof Volume 1 follows on from Poker Flat head honcho Steve Bug taking part in the Mixmasters Retreat in Ibiza last year alongside producers Huxley and Denney, as well as singer/songwriter Jade PraiZe.
According to the label, the output from participating students was of such a high standard that most tracks have been signed up to be released as part of the Under One Roof series.
‘The output of last years students was so exciting that most of the tracks have been signed for Under One Roof and the coaches Huxley, Denney and Steve Bug each contributed a remix,’ Poker Flat said in a statement. ‘The project will continue also outside the Mixmasters retreat, but for now here is the first EP, showcasing the talents of Al Leahy and Yerik US.’
The first in the series features producers Al Leahy and Yerik US, and was released on 7 June.
Al(ex) Leahy, a London based DJ and producer, contributes the track Shadow Rush, which also receives a Huxley remix on the EP, while US-based Yerik US’ contribution is entitled Go Go.
