DGTL announces debut USA editions, in New York and Los Angeles

Festival organisers DGTL have announced plans for their first editions in the US, taking place in New York City on 1 December, and Los Angeles the following night, with WhoMadeWho (live), Ida Engberg b2b AMÉMÉ, Henrik Schwarz (live) b2b Mano Le Tough, Shubostar and Parallele among those set to appear.
Ten years on from the first edition in Amsterdam in 2013, DGTL has held events in locations such as Barcelona, Madrid, Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, Santiago, São Paulo and more – but has yet to make its appearance Stateside.
The December events take place in partnership with event collectives Teksupport and Stranger Than.
The performance from WhoMadeWho is likely to be one of the stand-outs of the event, with the Danish trio unveiling a new live show concept, which features an inflatable sphere projecting three-dimensional images, designed alongside Danish architecture group, Bjarke Ingels Group.
As with its European editions, DGTL remains committed to reducing its carbon footprint through its sustainability initiatives, including offering plant-based food options onsite, extensive recycling programs, and elimination of single-use plastics and residual waste.
Tickets for both events go on sale on 25 October, and more information can be found here.
