Jack Said What marks first anniversary with new ‘Cut La Mac’ single

Record label Jack Said What is marking its first anniversary with the release of a new single, Incredible, a collaboration between Steve Mac and Cut La Roc under the name ‘Cut La Mac’.

The 22nd release on the label, which is run by Steve Mac, Irvine Welsh and Carl Loben, is a filtered disco cut co-produced by two confirmed hip hop and disco aficionados, who hooked up in the studio recently to put the track together.

“I had a love for filtered disco in the mid-90s from my Rhythm Masters days, when I first got inspired by the second coming of Chicago artists via the likes of Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak and Mark Farina,” Steve Mac said of the new release.

“Me and Lee La Roc both share a passion for crate-digging, and we caught a vibe off this loop and threw it into my old school analogue machines. We messed around for a while, and this is what we came up with.”
