Ibiza Global Radio announces global expansion, with Dubai, Italy and Madrid launches
Ibiza Global Radio, which has been soundtracking many a summer on the White Isle for close to two decades, has announced plans to go global in 2022.
Listeners will now be able to find Ibiza Global Radio in Dubai, Madrid and Italy, with more destinations soon to be added.
The expansion into Dubai marks the first time a Spanish radio station has entered the UAE market, and also gives it the opportunity to engage a broader leadership in the Middle East and Western Asia.
During the pandemic, the station continued to grow from strength to strength and rapidly expanded its online listenership to over 18 million per month, as well as more than two million on FM.
“We are very excited to be launching Ibiza Global Radio internationally,” commented Daniele Luppino, CEO of Ibiza Global Radio.
“It is the first time for a radio station from Ibiza to be championing electronic music in this way. It gives us a huge opportunity to support local talent and spread the Ibiza sound even further.”
As part of the expansion, the station is set to take its events and festival concept internationally with a view to growing local talent in each territory it enters.
Elsewhere, Ibiza Global Radio has announced a new weekly residency at Club Chinois Ibiza.
Running from July 4th till September 26th, and named after the ancient god of dance the Bes – Spirit Of Ibiza event series will be taking over Monday nights at the venue in Marina Botafoch.
“We are happy to start this new collaboration with a club that will be the revelation of 2022, a symbol of elegance, underground culture and technological innovation on the island,” Luppino added.
