Italian DJ and producer Di Saronno has made his debut on Jovonn‘s Body N’ Deep imprint with a new four-track EP, On My Prime.
The EP sees the producer serve up a collection of tracks – Blissful Blue, On My Prime, and Glamour Craft feat. L.A.D. Jazz, along with a stripped-back version of Blissful Blue – that blend classic New York house influences with refined modern production.
Body N’ Deep is a natural fit for the release, which showcases Di Saronno’s soulful grooves, disco-infused rhythms, and authentic dancefloor energy.
The producer, who has built a reputation as one of Italy’s leading proponents of jackin’ house and disco and soul sampling, has long been influenced by dance music’s evolution over the decades, with a particular focus on the sounds of the 1960s through to the 1980s.
Alongside his solo work, he is also behind the nu-disco project Mindbuster, is a founding member of the Houseswingers remix collective, and is affiliated with DJ Sneak’s I’m A House Gangster movement, as well as Milan-based collectives Body Heat Gang and Italoexotica.
Over the years, he’s released on labels such as Nervous Records, Robsoul, Snatch!, Peppermint Jam, Glasgow Underground, King Street Sounds, TRAX, Music For Freaks, Simma Black, Guesthouse Music and Defected’s deepvisionz imprint.
He has also established himself as an in-demand remixer, reworking tracks by artists such as Basement Jaxx, Todd Terry, Masters At Work, Dennis Ferrer, DJ Sneak, Felix Da Housecat, Groove Armada, Barbara Tucker, Crystal Waters, Blaze, Mood II Swing and Everything But The Girl.
His productions have earned support from a broad range of influential DJs and producers, including Kerri Chandler, David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Derrick Carter, Honey Dijon, Disclosure, Purple Disco Machine, Riva Starr, Mark Knight and Body N’ Deep founer Jovonn.
