Global Underground has announced the return of its nubreed compilation series as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, with the 13th instalment, helmed by US DJ and producer Spencer Brown, set for release on 16 October.
Following the release, Brown will join Global Underground as part of a nubreed world tour in late 2026 and early 2027, dates for which are set to be announced.
Commenting on the return of the series, Global Underground founder Andy Horsfield said, “In GU’s 30th year, it gives me huge pleasure to continue working with the very best established and emerging electronic artists in the world. Spencer Brown is an artist who’s been a firm favourite in the GU office so it’s amazing for us to be working together and have the honour of bringing him to our legendary nubreed series.”
The release will feature two contrasting mixes – one lighter, one darker – featuring tracks that have influenced Brown’s career alongside his own productions.
“I’m grateful to be able to showcase artists that have inspired me,” he commented. “This whole project has been taking things that really resonate with me, bridged with tracks I’ve written especially for this mix and bring you two cohesive stories, one on each disc.
“It’s an honour to release on such a legendary brand and to help shape the style of the future of electronic music. Life is a combination of emotions and this mix has various moods to build a whole picture, there are a lot of secret weapons from my sets.”
nubreed 13 will be available from 16 October through Global Underground. You can pre-order it here.
