There’s not long to go until AVA Belfast returns to Titanic Slipways on 30 and 31 May, with X CLUB and Dylan Fogarty the latest additions to a stellar lineup that includes Underworld, Overmono, VTSS, Ewan McVicar, Job Jobse, KI/KI, Mark Blair and many more.
Now in its 11th year, the festival continues to position itself as one of Europe’s most forward-thinking electronic music and arts festivals, and will this year feature The Dock, a new dockside stage co-hosted by Resident Advisor.
Other stages include The Slipways, the audiovisual main stage; The Pumphouse, AVA’s signature rave bunker (which this year will feature DJ Python, Clouds, Sloucho, and DART, among others); and The Yard, which spotlights Irish talent such as Jordan Nocturne, EMA, Swoose, Holly Lester, Ponyhawke, Plus One, Plain Sailing, Twitch, and many more.
As well as the comprehensive music programme on Friday and Saturday, Thursday 29 May will play host to the AVA Talks programme at The Printworks in Belfast.
This event will feature a ‘fireside chat’ with Sally C, an emerging producer workshop, and a nightlife industry forum, as well as an exclusive storytelling night, Seanchoíche x AVA: My Love for Belfast, which will share the people, places, and moments that define the city. The AVA Talks programme is held in collaboration with NineSquared and PRS Foundation.
For this year’s edition, AVA is also partnering with Wing-It to launch The Hot Spot, a hospitality area with exclusive access, a private bar and toilets.
