Nicolas Masseyeff set to release first album in more than a decade, ‘Endless’

French DJ and producer Nicolas Masseyeff is set to unveil his first album in over a decade, on Marc Romboy’s label Systematic.

The album, which blends both club-focused electronica and home listening, is called Endless, and is described by Masseyeff as boasting a “melting pot of my influences”.

His first long player since 2011’s The Motherland, Endless opens with a collaboration with fellow French artist Miss Kittin (on the track Present), before exploring cinematic soundscapes and deep grooves across 12 tracks.

“Eleven years after my first album, I wanted to fix the time again, about all the feelings I had in my heart when I was producing in my studio these past months,” Masseyeff says of the album.

“For me, the greatest value of a track is to stay non-temporal and go through the years…and it’s the magic of music. We all have some love for some old tracks… the power of love… this endless feeling… something truly personal that you can share with the people.”

Visual artist Yann Masseyeff – Nicolas’s brother – is responsible for the artwork that adorns the cover.

Masseyeff has focused solely on production since the late noughties, releasing on lavels such as Herzblut Recordings, Systematic, KD Music and Mobilee, as well as working with artists such as Kittin, Oxia and Parallelle, among others.

Nicolas Masseyeff Endless is released on 25 November on Systematic.
