Haçienda Records launches with new Charles Schillings/Robert Owens cut, ‘Me Time’

Haçienda Records, a label offshoot of the legendary Manchester club FAC51 The Haçienda, has unveiled its first release – a collaboration between producer Charles Schillings and vocalist Robert Owens, ‘Me Time’.

The label, which is curated by DJ Graeme Park, Peter Hook, Haçienda manager Paul Fletcher and The Haçienda team, plans to issue a series of releases this year as the club celebrates its 40th anniversary year.

All releases on the label, including ‘Me Time’, will be released digitally and also on vinyl.

The first release, which bears the catalog number ‘HAC 51’, is backed by a remix by Samy K, which takes the deep, funky original and translates it into a pumping dancefloor cut. You can stream/purchase it here.

Robert Owens will be performing the track live for the first ever time at FAC 51 The Haçienda Easter Good Friday at Tobacco Dock London, which marks the label’s first event of the year, ahead of a run of showcases throughout 2022.
