The single, which features a healthy nod to Clannad’s Theme From Harry’s Game, is backed by a fantastic video, featuring a middle aged man living a depressed mundane life, who has visions of returning to ‘Club Kid’ days at the legendary Limelight Club in 1993. Or was it all in his mind?
The single, which has been described as ‘big room but emotionally nuanced electronica’ – with some definite 80s synthpop vibes lurking in the background – has just been released on his own Ellum Audio label, and has already received a number of airings at various summer festivals.
Maceo Plex, aka Eric Estornel, has had a busy year to date, with a new single on Ministry of Sound, guest mixes for BBC Radio 1, a Beatport Number 1 for his remix of Faithless’s ‘Insomnia’ and a number of signings to the Ellum Audio label.
His forthcoming album, due to land next year, will be his first long player since 2017’s Solar.
The wait is over – Check out the video for the first single “Revision” from my upcoming album due out in 2022.— Maceo Plex (@MaceoPlex) October 29, 2021
