House music heroes Junior Sanchez and Todd Terry announce collaboration

House music veterans Junior Sanchez and Todd Terry have announced a collaboration on Sanchez’ upcoming Divergent EP, set to be released on Crosstown Rebels in May.

Terry provides vocals on Live Forever, the first track on the EP, which came about as a result of the duo crossing paths on the White Isle, as Sanchez explains.

“I was in the studio with Todd in Ibiza. He heard it and liked it, so I was just joking and said sing something on this. He laid some ideas down… and boom: you got a track with Todd Terry on lead vocals.”

Other tracks on the EP include the upbeat After Love – “this track is all about the feeling of the sun and the pure energy of happiness”, says Sanchez, as well as My Mind Goes, which draws its ““inspiration from an ’80s new wave band”.

The EP rounds off with Body Heat, an uncompromising house track inspired by “the likes of New Order and Jimmy Sommerville,” according to Sanchez.

The Divergent EP is released on Crosstown Rebels on 14 May.
