Ragga and jungle pioneer General Levy has announced details of his first studio album in eight years, Jah Jah Guide and Protect, which is set to be released on Cleopatra Records on 7 November.

The new album will revisit some of Levy’s signature tracks, including Ladbroke Grove and Hey Marijuana, as well as the title track, alongside new cuts such as Body Shaping, High Grade Inna Me Head, and Professional Ganja Smoker – the latter of which has been released as the album’s lead single.

“I fully enjoyed putting this project together,” Levy said of the new album. “It’s been great working with Cleopatra and I hope you all enjoy the works. Blessed love.”

The London-born MC came to prominence in 1994 when Incredible, his collaboration with producer M Beat, became the first jungle track to break the UK top ten and go on to mainstream success – it also topped the UK indie chart and reached #2 on the dance chart.

General Levy – Jah Jah Guide and Protect is released on 7 November. You can check out the new single here, and pre-order the album here.
