Drum ‘n’ bass legend Fabio has announced the forthcoming launch of a new label, Generation Liquid, with a launch party set to take place at Camden Assembly in London on 17 May.
Initially a compilation series, which was launched in 2023, Generation Liquid has evolved into a label that will showcase the ‘soulful, deeper shades of drum ‘n’ bass that Fabio has tirelessly championed throughout his illustrious career’, according to a press release.
Fabio will personally curate the roster, and has pledged to support emerging artists with the same spirit that propelled figures like Calibre and Alix Perez to acclaim via his Creative Source imprint.
Calibre previously described Fabio’s style as ‘liquid gold for the ears’, with Fabio going on to host The Liquid Funk Show on BBC Radio 1, which gave a platform to artists such as Chase & Status and High Contrast.
The forthcoming launch party at Camden Assembly (details of which can be found here) follows on from Fabio’s recent appearance at the Royal Albert Hall with Grooverider and the Outlook Orchestra for A History of Jungle, Drum & Bass.
The launch marks a ‘thrilling new era in drum ‘n’ bass, expertly guided by one of the genre’s most influential figures’, as a press release put it.
