Afro house producer AMÉMÉ has teamed up with AZZUR to serve up a remix of recent single Me Gusta.
AZZUR is a collaboration between producers Meloko, Baron, Selim Sivade, and Konvex, and the new remix transforms the original track ‘ into a powerful club weapon, infusing [AMÉMÉ‘s] signature blend of African rhythms and contemporary house elements while preserving the track’s captivating vocal hooks,’ according to a press release.
Other artists to appear on the three-track remix package include Birds of Mind and Nick Morgan.
The past year saw AMÉMÉ put out releases on Black Book Records, Realm Records, and Defected Records’ afro-house imprint One People, as well as a high-profile collaboration with fellow Benin-born artist Angelique Kidjo.
Elsewhere, AMÉMÉ has expanded his ‘One Tribe’ event series around the world – relaunching the series at London’s Fabric last year, before securing a quarterly residency at Amsterdam’s Shelter, as well as appearances at Brooklyn’s House of Yes, Ibiza and Egypt. One Tribe is also set to return to Coachella this year.
