Amsterdam Dance Event announces second wave of artists for 2023 edition

There’s a month to go until Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) takes place in the Dutch capital from 18 to 22 October, and the arts and culture festival has announced some of the biggest names in electronic music for its 2023 edition.

Among the artists announced in the festival’s second wave are Adam Beyer, Charlotte de Witte, A-Trak, Héctor Oaks, Claptone, Anetha, Peggy Gou, Sama Abdulhadi, 999999999, Ron Carroll, Jamie Jones, Joris Voorn, Hernan Cattaneo, Marcel Dettmann, Boris Brejcha and many more.

As well as countless DJ sets, talks, installations and discussion panels taking place at ADE 2023, live performances have also become part of the festival program in recent years, at Amsterdam venues such as Paradiso, Melkweg and Concertgebouw.

This year’s live performances will include the electro organic sounds of jazz quartet ECHT!, a live performance by Overmono, a one-off concert by Mary Lake and Amsterdams Andalusisch Orkest, and many others.

Elsewhere, a recent addition to the festival program, ADE Arts & Culture, is marking its third edition, focusing on the next generation of musical creators, as well as exploring the positive impact of electronic music.

Overall, some 2,500 artists and 600 speakers are set to appear in around 200 venues across the five days. For details about this year’s festival programme, click here. [Main photo by Tom Doms]
