Alexander Robotnick announces forthcoming new album, ‘Kind of Disco – Simple Music Vol 2’
It seems like only yesterday that we were writing about a new album from Alexander Robotnick – it was November actually! – and the legendary Italian producer has already announced a follow-up long player.
Kind of Disco – Simple Music Vol 2 will be released on Robotnick’s (aka Maurizio Dami’s) Hot Elephant Music on 24 March, and features eight tracks that again showcase his musical dexterity.
It’s his ninth studio album, and follows hot on the heels of December’s Simple Music. According to the press release, it’s ‘another collection of ageless tracks that brim with original melodies and catchy grooves from this venerated veteran’ – as if we could expect anything less!
Talking to 909originals in November (read the full interview here), Robotnick said of his signature style, “Each track I make stands alone, but I still feel attached to the electro sound I used in the early eighties. Much of my equipment dates back to that time.
“So I have a signature sound that allows me to always be myself, no matter what style I’m using.”
Expect more of the same, in other words, on Kind of Disco – Simple Music Vol 2.
