Slam join forces with Edinburgh promoters FLY for May Day Weekend event
The legendary Slam Tent will be making an appearance in Edinburgh over the May bank holiday weekend, as techno legends Slam team up with promoters FLY for a three-day event.
Artists confirmed to appear at The Slam Tent event, running at Edinburgh’s Hopetoun House from 29 April to 1 May, include Skream, Rebekah, Optimo, Ellen Allien, Jasper James, Len Faki, Viper Diva and of course the Slam boys themselves.
“We’re delighted to be working with Scottish legends Slam in bringing back the Slam Tent,” said Tom Ketley, director of FLY. “After a six-year hiatus, the return of such a cultural institution will be an awesome way to kick off the summer festival season and we could not be more excited in welcoming a huge lineup, brimming with so many great Scottish artists alongside an array of international acts.”

Since its inception in 1997, and for 20 consecutive summers, the Slam Tent was an unquestionable highlight at Scotland’s premier festival, T in the Park and this summer it is set for an epic return with Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle once again at the helm.

“We’re so happy to be bringing our iconic Slam Tent to Hopetoun House over the May Day bank holiday weekend,” McMillan and Meikle said. “We’ve invited some amazing international DJs as well as a host of incredible Scottish talent to join us in celebrating its return.”
