Just over a decade on from the launch of the Life and Death label and events brand, DJ Tennis is now expanding it into a psychedelic new Twitch channel, Life and Death TV, which promises to add ‘a new dimension to the brand’s technicolor universe’.
Following the launch of a new Life and Death website last year, the Twitch channel will bring together a wide variety of segments and artists – promising segments on emo carpet tufting, psychedelic art creation, the art of cooking insects (featuring renowned Mexican chefs Tomás Bermúdez and Sergio Meza), as well as an underpinning commitment to good music.
With this in mind, music programming on the channel will feature Global Dancefloor, with Juba examining the African diaspora within dance music (alongside model and artist Exocé Kasongo); Marvin & Guy’s Marcello Giordani will explore disco and Italo on Master Program; Mike Stellar will combine Brazilian music with wine tasting on Focus; and Daron Sassounian will dig into the Los Angeles underground with a mixtape/visual series, Between the Ridge.
Label boss DJ Tennis (aka Manfredi Romano), meanwhile, will host his own show dedicated to mind-expanding music and equally out-there accompanying visuals – expect to see his dog, Frida the Husky, working on her treadmill, along with plenty of other surprises.
Jazz aficionados will enjoy Life and Death’s weekly Virtual Fireplace, while those in search of an afterparty soundtrack can tune into the channel each weekend for a selection of music paired with footage of cute and rare animals from Miami’s Canine 101 sanctuary.
In other words, strap yourself in, it’s going to be a hell of a ride. You can check out Life and Death TV here: https://www.twitch.tv/lifeanddeath_tv
