Charlotte de Witte has announced the forthcoming release of her debut album, which is set to land on 7 November on her own KNTXT label.
While the Belgian techno artist has released some 25 EPs over the years, this is scheduled to be her first long player, and it is being preceded by The Realm, a new single set for release on 10 April.
“After 15 years of DJing, traveling, and living life through music, releasing my debut album feels surreal,” de Witte commented. “This album is the most personal project I’ve ever worked on. It’s not just a collection of tracks, it’s a reflection of who I am, where I come from, and what continues to drive me: the dancefloor.
“Across eleven tracks, this album tells the story of my journey in music so far. Every sound, every transition, is intentional. I followed what felt right, what moved me. And that honesty is what makes this album so special to me. It’s raw. It’s real. It’s emotional. It’s who I am.”
de Witte describes the lead single as a “really special track” and the “beginning of a whole new chapter” for the Ghent native.
“Techno, and by extension clubbing, has always been about more than just dancing for me. It’s about connection, transcendence and exploration. It’s a way of accessing something unseen, something powerful. There’s a tension and release in the structure that mirrors the feeling of letting go, of stepping into something bigger than yourself.”
The announcement follows a successful start to 2025 for de Witte, including a series of major events at Flanders Expo with Amelie Lens, which saw 70,000 tickets sold across three nights. She also held a spontaneous street party in her hometown, which attracted a large crowd.
Charlotte de Witte ‘The Realm’ drops April 10th on KNTXT, and can be downloaded/streamed here.
