#MyRecordBag – Pippi Ciez selects his most uplifting tracks

Let’s face it, with the weather getting colder and the days getting shorter, we could all use a boost, and so, to mark his return to Lee Burridge‘s All Day I Dream imprint with the new Limitless EP (released on 17 November, buy/stream it here) we asked Pippi Ciez to name his most uplifting tracks for the latest instalment of our #MyRecordBag series.

The Inward Records boss has long sought to do things his way – incorporating live elements, analogue sequencers and Moog riffs into his DJ sets – with recent residencies in Ibiza (Cova Santa), Mykonos (Scorpios & Coya), Bali (Savaya), and a headline gig at Brooklyn Mirage NY with All Day I Dream.

The Birmingham native, who is now based in Bali, has released on the likes of Hidden Hands, AireSoloSeriA, and TRYBESof over the past year, and his return to All Day I Dream follows on from the release of his debut album on the label, Multiple of Three, back in 2021.

Over to you, Pippi!

Christian Löffler – Haul (feat. Mohna)

“An absolutely beautiful piece that I feel has a timeless essence; the balance between the pads and vocal touches the soul.”

Howling – Short Line

“Ry X is certainly one of my favourite artists in the industry and definitely a dream to work with one day. Signs is an amazing example of how music should have no genre and just be a pure feeling.”

deadmau5 & Kaskade – I Remember

“Certainly one of my favourite tracks of all time, and it lifts my mood every time I hear this track.”

Monique Bingham, Black Coffee – Deep In The Bottom (of Africa)

“A track I can never seem to stop playing at home in the morning playlist. I love the feeling of live instruments inside a production; it just seems to bring so much life to the track.”

Bonobo – Cirrus

“An all-time favourite for sure and certainly a composition that will stand the test of time. Bonobo is just a genius.”

AMÉ – Rej

“The perfect balance of dark and light; I believe Rej has it all. Still, to this day, one of the best productions in the electronic music scene for me.”

Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra – Too Much Information – Laolu Remix (Edit)

“Arguably the best Afro house production ever made, and even after eight years, it still sounds like it was made yesterday.”

Lovebirds – Want You In My Soul (feat. Stee Downes)

“Memories of living in Ibiza… this one always has a special place in my heart, and I feel it has everything a track can possibly offer.”

Soul II Soul – Keep On Movin’

“My oldest brother was a huge Soul II Soul fan, and memories of me running around the house listening to this album on repeat will always stay with me and never leave my morning playlist.”

Wookie – Battle feat Lain – Original Mix

“I might be breaking the rules here with this one being garage, but it’s such a classic for me. Coming from a UK Garage background will always put a huge smile on my face.”

Thanks Pippi Ciez for the playlist. You can buy/stream the Limitless EP here, and click here to keep up to date with releases and upcoming dates.
