John Digweed and Nick Muir release two remixes of Island Hill’s ‘1000 Lives’

John Digweed and Nick Muir have released two remixes of Island Hill’s latest single, 1000 Lives, taken from the recent album Strangers in Paradise.

Released on Bedrock, the remixes follow on from a Red Axes reworking of Island Hill’s Killer of Fate, which accompanied the launch of the album in February.

According to a press release, Digweed and Muir’s remixes see the duo ‘play on [the track’s] calming vocal lines with beautifully psychedelic vocal chops and an intoxicating bassline.

‘Proving its worth for the dance-floor, and to fully realise the track’s club potential, the British duo also treat us to a dub mix that’s as bass-fuelled as it is celestial, removing its alluring vocal piece to unveil its intoxicating web of synth intricacies. ‘

As the duo behind Bedrock Records, John Digweed and Nick Muir have been at the forefront of electronic music for more than two decades; their individual and collaborative discographies representing a labyrinth of timeless underground cuts.

Despite their extensive histories on the circuit, the pair’s outputs are as exciting and forward-thinking as ever and when they come together in the studio, you can expect a fantastic synchronicity of their musical nuances.

Island Hill – 1000 Lives (John Digweed & Nick Muir Remixes) is out now via Bedrock Records and can be downloaded/streamed here.
