Kettama, Shampain to headline G-Town Festival in Galway in July

Rising stars Kettama (pictured) and Shampain are set to curate an all-Irish lineup for the first G-Town Festival, taking place on 23 July as part of Galway International Arts Festival.
The festival follows on from the pair establishing G-Town Records in 2020, and sees the label team up with both the Galway International Arts Festival and the Róisín Dubh to take over the Heineken Big Top for a night.
Further act announcements to follow in the coming weeks. Tickets are available here.
As well as running G-Town Records, Kettama and Shampain have established a reputation both in Ireland and overseas, performing for the likes of Boiler Room, Mixmag, Rinse France and HÖR.
Since its foundation, G-Town Records has ‘built a community through local projects including an active partnership with Galway United FC, throwing afterparties for hardcore bands like Jesus Piece, releasing music from emerging producers such as Tommy 2000, and of course, hosting the best club nights in Galway,’ according to a press release.
The Galway International Arts Festival takes place in July every year, and featured more than 600 performances in 32 venues over 14 days for its 2022 event. Previous artists to appear include The Pixies, Sinéad O’Connor, Lisa Hannigan, The Fall, and Sharon Shannon. The Guardian named the festival as one of the Top 5 Summer Festivals in Europe.
