M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade classic ‘Body Language’ gets the remix treatment
With Get Physical Music marking its 21st anniversary this year, one of the biggest tracks from the label’s archive, M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade‘s Body Language, is being remastered and remixed.
Due to be released on 31 March, the Body Language Remixes release sees the seminal track released digitally and on streaming platforms for the first time, as well as getting remixed by HOSH and Patrice Bäumel.
M.A.N.D.Y. aka Patrick Bodmer and Philipp Jung, and Booka Shade, aka Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, are Get Physical co-founders (alongside DJ T), and Body Language, originally released in 2005, in many ways set the template for the label.
According to the press release, ‘[Body Language] became an instant classic that worked as well in cosy clubs as it did on festival main stages and it has remained an ever-green house anthem. The influential track has been sampled many times over the years but nothing beats the original.’
Patrice Bäumel is well known for his deep house and techno productions on labels such as Kompakt and his own HALO, while fellow German artist HOSH has been a core part of the Diynamic family for many years, as well as the founder of the fryhide imprint. Both bring their own style to one of the most-loved tracks of the past 20 years.
M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade – Body Language Remixes (incl. Patrice Bäumel & HOSH) is released on 31 March on Get Physical Music.
