Few things are as quintessentially Ibiza as watching the sun go down at Café Mambo, backed by a soothing soundtrack, and the San Antonio institution has teamed up with Absolut to offer chill-out DJs the chance to play at the iconic venue this September.
The winner, along with a friend, will be flown out to Ibiza for up to three nights, staying in Grupo Mambo accommodation and with access to the Las Mimosas Boutique Hotel & Spa for the duration of their trip.
The winning mix will also be livestreamed, enabling the soulful vibes to travel far and wide.
All entries will be judged by Café Mambo’s resident DJs including Jason Bye, Andy Baxter, Danny O and Sara de Araújo.
Factors taken into consideration will include: number of plays, positive feedback, originality, suitability for a sunset set, track selection, artists ability to use Mixcloud and other social media platforms to promote themselves. Mixes must gain over 50 plays to be considered for the shortlist. The closing date for entries is 15 August.
To enter, you need to upload a 30 minute set to Mixcloud, titled ‘Café Mambo x Absolut DJ Competition’ and featuring the tag #CaféMamboAbsolutDJCompetition2022. More information about the competition can be found in the Terms & Conditions.
