John Digweed unveils ‘Quattro II’ compilation

Sometimes, lightning does strike twice. Following on from last year’s four-disc compilation, Quattro, John Digweed has unveiled a much-anticipated follow up.

Like its predecessor, Quattro II, which is available to buy now, is divided into four parts, each of which adopts a specific theme: the first disc, Soundscape blends enhancing synths and hypnotic sound waves before disc two, Tempo takes things up a notch.

The third disc, Redux, seeks to channel the energy of a peak-time nightclub, with feel-good house and future grooves, while the fourth, Juxtaposition, sees Digweed hand over the controls to longtime friend Robert Babicz.

Commenting on the first Quattro mix, Digweed told 909originals last year, “I think music is a great escape from all the white noise and depressing news stories, especially given our current circumstances. The reaction to the release could have gone either way, so I’m really glad people really embraced it as soon as it came out and was met with such fantastic reviews.”

Quattro II features 50 new and never-before-heard productions, from artists including Dino Lenny, EdOne, Guy Mantzur, Hannes Bieger, Josh Wink, Robert Babicz, and, of course, Digweed himself, alongside long-term friend and production partner Nick Muir.
