LX8, aka artist, author, filmmaker and designer Henry Chebaane, has unveiled a new mix of his track Ghosts of Sound.

Ghosts of Sound – Tanit Trance Anthem blends synth pads, darbouka drum, Berber flute and oud, and is ‘steeped in the Mediterranean soundscape of ancient Carthage and its Phoenician goddess Tanit’, according to a press release.

Think of it as a sonic journey from coastal Lebanon to the Maghreb and, of course, the island of Ibiza.

The release, which includes a six-minute club mix and a four-minute radio edit, will also feature on a forthcoming double LP that aligns with the narrative of The Panharmonion Chronicles, an alternative history novel series written by Chebaane – more information on that can be found here.

Ghosts of Sound is the second volume in the graphic novel series, due to be published in early 2026 by Supanova Media. It follows on from the acclaimed first volume, Times of London, which was published in 2023.

The series follows Alex Campbell, a multi-cultural composer who struggles with a conflicted identity, a traumatic past and repressed supernatural abilities while fighting a violent supremacist cult through the annals of time.

A recent arrival on the EDM scene, LX8’s music style defies simple description but can be summarised as a ‘sonic quest into the human consciousness and the nature of reality’.

909originals recently spoke to Henry Chebaane about The Panharmonion Chronicles project, and the accompanying musical output.

As he told us, “If you think about it for a minute, music is like a book, it’s a process of encoding bits of thoughts into information that can be shared between people and turned into real, tangible actions: dancing, clapping, tapping, humming…All emotions, which means energy in motion. The potential to move ourselves and the world with it!” The full interview can be found here.
