Producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Kishi Bashi is set to return to Dublin on 11 December for a performance at Button Factory, presented by Selective Memory.

Kishi Bashi, known for his unique blending of orchestral elements with electronica, last performed in the Irish capital in 2022, at the Pepper Canister Church, followed by a memorable main stage slot at Beyond The Pale festival in 2023.

The solo project of singer, songwriter, and producer Kaoru Ishibashi, first gained recognition for his 2012 debut album 151A. This was followed by Sonderlust in 2016, Omoiyari in 2019, and Emigrant in 2021, with his most recent release being the soundtrack album Music from the Song Film: Omoiyari (2023).

Born in Seattle, Washington and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, he started his music career collaborating on albums with acts including Vitamin String Quartet and, in 2003, co-founded the Brooklyn-based indie rock outfit Jupiter One with fellow songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Zac Colwell. Jupiter One would go on to release two albums, and tour in support of Regina Spektor, before Ishibashi embarked on a solo career in 2011.

He is widely known for the tracks I Am the Antichrist to You and his cover of Talking Heads’ Naive Melody (This Must Be The Place), while his latest single is entitled Colorful State.

Tickets for the upcoming show are currently available for €24.50 and can be purchased via Selective Memory by clicking here.
