John Digweed to launch Quattro II next February

John Digweed has announced a follow up to one of the most diverse and celebrated compilations of the year, Quattro, to be launched in early 2021.

Quattro II is another four-disc project, featuring both established and up and coming artists, and will be launched on 26 February. Pre-orders are available now via the Bedrock website, as is a limited edition 5 x vinyl set featuring choice tracks from the album.

The first part of Quattro II, Soundscape, is a largely atmospheric, ambient mix, while secondly, Tempo champions a melodically driving acid sound and thirdly, Redux is described as a ‘feel-good’ house mix. The final part, Juxtaposition, is mixed by Robert Babicz, and features both ambient textures and futuristic electronica.

Commenting on the first Quattro mix, Digweed told 909originals earlier this year, “I think music is a great escape from all the white noise and depressing news stories, especially given our current circumstances. The reaction to the release could have gone either way, so I’m really glad people really embraced it as soon as it came out and was met with such fantastic reviews.”

Elsewhere, Digweed has also announced details of a New Year’s Eve Charity Fundraiser Livestream, which will raise funds for Macmillan UK. It is set to take place on December 31 from 21:30 – 01:00 (GMT) or later.

“Since I was 15 years old, I have spent every New Year’s Eve playing at some of the best club events around the world,” he explained.

“This year it’s going to be a totally different experience for me as well as the rest of clubland. My ‘Bunker Sessions’ this year have allowed me to hold a house party and share it with my fans around the world, creating a real clubbing community online. Your support has been absolutely incredible and hugely appreciated.”

Tickets for the exclusive livestream event can be purchased here.
