Get set for pure nostalgia with this archive of classic rave sets

A couple of weeks back, the team here at 909originals uncovered a massive treasure trove of old rave tapes (click here), uploaded for posterity by some considerate clubber.

Now, thanks to the good people at the Rave Preservation Library, we’re delighted to present a similarly mind-blowing (and ever-growing) collection of recordings and videos, mainly from the 90s but also including a smattering of more recent sets.

Click here to access the full collection. Here’s a little taster of the sort of thing you can expect.

909originals tracked down the team behind the archive, which assembled the impressive collection to track the evolution of dance music from the early 90s to the present day – “to cross the generations a little bit”, as he puts it.

Further to this, they are planning to interview some of the DJs and producers that contributed so much to the scene, and develop it into a podcast exploring the past, present and future of dance music– more information on that will follow.

In their own words, “Respect to the original ripping squad and uploaders and of course maximum respect and all credit due to the DJ’s, MC’s, PA’s, producers, promoters, stations and studios making the featured recordings in the first place.” Hear hear!

More sets are being added to the list all the time, so make sure you follow RaveDownloads on Telegram, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok to find out more.

Make some noise! 🙂
