Daniel Avery has released a new remix of the Happy Mondays classic Hallelujah, the second instalment in a series of remixes of the Manchester band’s back catalogue.

Avery’s take on Hallelujah follows on from a recent Paul Oakenfold reworking of Step On, with further remixes scheduled for the coming year from Anna Prior, Mella Dee, The Reflex and Shadow Child.

The remixes are being released to mark 40 years of the formation of Happy Mondays, and to coincide with a forthcoming compilation, The Factory Singles, which is out on 5 December on double CD, double LP and cassette.

The forthcoming compilation captures the band’s output from 1985-1992, and features artwork conceived by Sublime Limbo (original Central Station team members Pat Carroll and Karen Jackson) alongside Sam Carroll. Each format carries a separate interpretation of the artwork theme.

The group is also preparing for a tour scheduled to run from March to April 2026, to mark the 35th anniversary of the release of Pills ’N’ Thrills and Bellyaches. The tour will include support shows from The Farm and Northside, both of which appeared with the band during a 1991 tour.
