Electronic artist Mikey La Luna has launched a new EP, Embrace The Light, which showcases the blend of tribal beats, organic percussion, and deep vocal FX he has become synonymous with.

The five-track EP was preceded by two singles, Ho’oponopono and Om Namah Shivaya, which weave hypnotic mantras with layered percussion and immersive sound design.

The EP echoes La Luna’s live performances, which incorporate keytar, drum machines, and live vocals, making his performances a convergence of ritual and rave: ‘a fusion of tribal rhythms, deep grooves, sacred chants, and club-ready emotion – this music is made for sunrise stages, moonlit ceremonies, and sweat-soaked dance floors.’

The new EP opens with Embrace the Light, a groove-fuelled track influenced by disco and house music, before Ho’oponopono reinterprets a Hawaiian mantra through the medium of indie-electronic instrumentation. Om Namah Shivaya reworks the well-known Hindu chant into a tribal techno, while Now It’s Time To Find The Faith features guest vocals and chant contributions from Shaya Noa Myers. Closing track Mitakuye Oyasin draws from the Lakota prayer meaning ‘we are all related’, and blends techno percussion with shamanic tonal elements.

The EP also features two bonus tracks – dub mixes of Ho’oponopono and Om Namah Shivay.

Embrace the Light marks the first stage of a broader project which will in time feature an immersive live show.
