DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Freddie Graham has unveiled his latest single, Become Who You Are, which blends ambient electronica and subtle breakbeats.

Influenced by the likes of Four Tet, Floating Points, Vegyn, and Bonobo, the track sees the producer embrace both electronic components and organic natural elements, such as the haunting strings of the Dilruba, percussive Konnakol rhythms, and atmospheric layers of sound.

As a press release puts it, Become Who You Are ‘resonates with fans of experimental electronic music seeking both introspection and escapism’, and boasts an ‘immersive, cinematic quality’.

According to Graham, who is also a singer, songwriter and poet, his musical journey takes its cues from both the wild English countryside and the experimental underground. “Music and sound has always been centric to everything I do,” he explains. “It constructs how I see things.”

This has laid the groundwork for the genre-fluid, multidimensional approach he’s known for today.

He’s a co-founder of Apollo Sounds, a collective dedicated to showcasing experimental electronic dance music, and despite only being at the start of his musical journey, he’s performed in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, The Edinburgh Fringe, Manchester Academy, The Pickle Factory, and Band on the Wall, and had his music performed in The Barbican, The Royal College of Art, Hackney Studios and more.
