Marvin Horsch’s Gianni Brezzo project announces new album

Cologne-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Marvin Horsch has announced details of a new album set to be released under his jazz-affiliated band project, Gianni Brezzo.

Set for release on 28 March on Berlin-based label Jakarta Records, the new album, entitled Sprechiamo!, is a nod to Horsch’s Italian roots, referencing Italian music from the 1960s and 1970s, with an aural nod to the likes of Khruangbin and Sven Wunder.

Horsch was influenced by the likes of Napoli Exchange, the Periodica label, and Giuliano Sorgini for the project, which would ‘sit just as well in 1979 as it does in 2025’, according to a press release.

Marvin Horsch has already released a number of albums and EPs with Gianni Brezzo, as well as contributing as a producer for artists such as Keshavara, Woman, and Xul Zolar. His production credits also include work on E. Lundquist’s album Art Between Minds, released on KingUnderground.

The new album is a ‘reflection of [his] relationship with Italian culture’, and will be released in both digital and vinyl formats. Learn more here.
