A competition offering Irish DJs the chance to perform at this year’s Beyond The Pale festival has been launched by Cupra Ireland.

The ‘On the Pulse’ competition, which returns for its second year, is calling on DJs to submit a 30-minute mix demonstrating their technical ability, track selection and originality.

A panel of industry judges will then assess each entry based on creativity, technical proficiency, and overall impact, with the winner receiving both an artist development fund of €2,500 and the chance to perform live at Beyond The Pale 2025. Last year’s competition was won by Cian Bolger (pictured).

“We are delighted to be partnering with Cupra again this year, continuing our shared commitment to innovation and emerging talent,” commented Kate Farnon, festival producer, Beyond the Pale.

“The On the Pulse DJ competition is an incredible initiative, offering up-and-coming artists a rare opportunity to perform alongside some of the world’s top international dance acts. A great deal of thought goes into curating this competition to ensure it reflects the depth and diversity of homegrown talent and this year’s winner will no doubt be one to watch.”

Interested DJs can apply now at www.cupraofficial.ie/onthepulse.

Artists set to perform at Beyond The Pale this year include Jon Hopkins, Róisín Murphy, Sofia Kourtesis, Le Boom, Halina Rice and many more. The festival takes place from 13 to 15 June at Glendalough Estate, Co. Wicklow. Tickets available here.
