Horst Arts & Music festival has named Four Tet, BADSISTA, DVS1, Helena Hauff and Job Jobse among the artists set to perform at its 2025 edition.
The Belgian festival, which runs from 1 to 3 May at Asiat Park in Vilvoorde, will play host to 115 artists in total this year, as it marks its 11th hosting.
“Horst has always started from a broad spectrum of variations on house and techno, but also laced with all things bass and breaks,” commented Simon Nowak, music programmer for Horst Arts & Music. “Four Tet is someone who honours those traditions, and includes 10 more within the blink of an eye. That’s when you know it will work at Horst.”
Other artists set to mix things up at the festival include DJ Stingray 313, Josey Rebelle, Objekt, Makadsi, Eris Drew, Surgeon and The Bug, as well as a back-to-back set featuring Erol Alkan and Palms Trax.
“In an environment where everything has to be harder, faster and Instagrammable, we resolutely, more than ever, want to bring challenging, content-rich music back to the forefront,” Nowak added. “We believe Horst audiences like to be challenged.”
The festival is continuing its commitment to the arts, with DVS1 collaborating with architect Leopold Banchini on a project set to be revealed before the festival.
Elsewhere, online platform Resident Advisor will oversee this year’s Vesshcell, transforming it into a space for niche live performances; Kiosk Radio and The Lot Radio have announced collaborations, and FOR ALL QUEENS! returns with a seven-hour performance at Soleil Rouge.
Horst Arts & Music was supposed to located elsewhere this year – at the nearby Darse site – however challenges around the licensing framework and preparation of the site has meant the festival is located at Asiat Park for now.
