Drum ‘n’ bass label Shogun Audio has announced details of a special 20th anniversary compilation to mark a milestone year.
Set to be released in November across digital platforms, a 4 x 12” vinyl, and an anniversary box set including an 80-page book, the compilation will feature 10 remixes of some of Shogun’s most celebrated tracks alongside 10 new cuts from a selection of drum ‘n’ bass’s most exciting artists.
The compilation will feature new music from Friction, DJ Marky, Break, Pola & Bryson, Monrroe, Emily Makis, Technimatic, Icicle, S.P.Y, Lens, GLXY, Sustance, Duskee, Javeon, Flowdan, SP:MC, Document One, Deadline, GEST, Watch The Ride, Total Science, Lenzman, Particle, Levela, Emperor, Subwave, Dynamite MC, IYAMAH, Note, and more, and the first single, Lights Go Down, by Document One and Dynamite MC, was released earlier this month.
Founded in 2004 by Ed Keeley (aka Friction), alongside business partner and collaborator Keir Tyrer (aka K-Tee), the British label, along with affiliates Elevate Records, Temple Publishing and SGN:LTD have been responsible for establishing many of today’s biggest names in drum ‘n’ bass.l
Shogun Audio has also announced details of a tour across the UK and Europe, taking in Motion (Bristol Day Party) / Troxy (London), HOTW Festival (UK), HOTB Festival (Croatia), Let It Roll Festival (Czech Republic), Electric Castle Festival (Romania), and other venues.
