Len Faki releases first in three-part series of ‘Fusion’ remixes

Following on from the release of his Fusion album last year, Len Faki has announced a three-part series of remix releases, the first of which has just been unveiled.

An array of artists are set to remix 20 of Fusion‘s tracks over two double and one single EP, with the first, released on 1 March, featuring remixes and re-edits by Arthur Robert, Ø [Phase], rRoxymore, Pangaea, Planetary Assault Systems, Truncate, Djrum and Polygonia.

The EP has been released on Len Faki’s own Figure imprint, and is available in 2×12″ format (featuring a full-colour print) as well as digital.

‘With an album as versatile and expansive as his LP Fusion, Len Faki wanted a collection of remixes to display a similar kind of musical variety,’ a press release to accompany the launch stated. ‘Hand-picked from his favourite producers, the cast now features a diverse group of artists who have re-imagined 20 of Fusion’s tracks.’

The techno titan recently caught up with 909originals, where he spoke about his new Hardspace alias, as well as the creation of the Fusion album, which was remarkably his first long-player, despite his long career in electronic music.

“What changed for the first time with the album was that I was able to give so much space to what electronic music means to me,” he told us.

“It wasn’t planned in advance in detail, but I already knew that if this was my chance for an album, I would also like to share more of myself than just my love of techno. That wouldn’t have felt complete and would have been too simple, and in a way, considering the production process, would even have been boring to me.”
